Goal: Clean, safe food preparation to reduce avoidable child deaths
Partner: Papaye Peasant Movement (MPP)
The Chefs4Kids food hygiene training is designed to coincide each of our key programs. When women and children are gathered for workshops and training classes, we include a short class on proper food handling techniques. Directly addressing the large scale problem of child food poisoning and malnutrition, we aim to prevent food-related child deaths by providing skills such as how to clean, prepare, serve, and store food safely. The custom program will not require literacy, is sensitive to local economic challenges and eating habits, and will be ongoing in every community where we work.
